Catholic Ireland. Malky is a seemingly tough guy who works as a laborer in the demolition of an old church and spends his free time in pubs. One day a long-lost and respected priest returns to his town. With him come the hidden traumas from Malky's childhood. The man begins to reject his loved ones, behaves destructively, hurts himself, his mother and his girlfriend Emma. His anger is growing. He will try to face the past alone.
